Looking for recommendations for a fixed blade EDC with the following constraints:

Fixed blade
Scandi grind
Wood handles
Length under 4"

I'm a HUGE fan of the Krein Explorer that I have, but finding that it's a little small (blade is about 2.75").

I love the look and overall idea of the Fallkniven F1... But this model doesn't have a wood handle option. And the other wood handles Fallkniven's are great too... But not Scandi grind IIRC (or maybe I'm wrong...?)

There are a ton of knives out there, so maybe someone else can suggest something for me?

Thanks!

LT Wright will have a bunch you will like.
I know I do

While I don't have any experience with them myself, Kellam knives comes to mind as meeting your criteria. Another recommendation for Helle as well. I have one and like it. You may also want to check out Enzo if you want something more modern in design like the F1. They have various grinds and scales that include scandi and assorted woods and from what I've seen people seem to like them.

Anything with the name puukko or leuku attached to it.....Names such as Jarvenpaa, Marttiini, Ahti, Marrimaa, KPP, and many others.

Kellam is not a maker, just rebrander or contractor of Ahti knives. Of course they sell other brands also in their various "lines". Nothing against Kellam, just too many folks think they are a knife maker.

Custom work is also an option, there's some fantastic makers here on the forums who have done several custom jobs for me. You get exactly what you want and their price are all very fair for how good the work is

Nice work. I've crafted several knives when I was younger. My favorite blades are the Helle laminated, Lauri progression tempered and the older Mora laminated blades. One I didn't try,but wish I had are the Brisa/Enzo blades. The Enzo knives I bought really impressed me.

A couple I crafted a while back.

You may have to shop a bit to before you find one that has the blade centered and true as they are hand-fitted. I find the handle to be very grippy and the steel hardened in a way that makes this knife work well for its intended use.

I accidently smacked the edge against a rock, and the damage sharpened out easily.

The spine is unfinished, so some filing may be in order to get a sharp 90 degrees.

The sheath is decent leather, with a plastic insert, and snug fitting.

Give it a try - making your own knife. Lots of good Scandi blades out there and several sites on constructing puukko.
Not difficult, only basic tools needed. If I can do it, then anyone can.

Nice puukko, very similar to Ahti Vaara model. Both good knives.
