I have a new fixed blade (Krein Bushcrafter XL), and I'd love to get a leather sheath for it. It has a Kydex sheath now, but I really want leather

No clue where to start!

For my Krein explorer, I have a Gallardo sheath, which is super easy to pocket, but the knife is susceptible to slipping out -- not great

So maybe I'm looking for two sheaths.

Where to begin?

Thanks!

9” total length for the XL, correct ? Really depends on what you want. In that size, there are plenty of nice and heavy leather bushcraft sheaths (7 or 8” depth) available on etsy, for around $30. If you want to treat yourself, there are several custom makers here, but you’ll have to ship your knife and it’s more costly.

Btw, I didn’t like Kydex in the beginning, but’ve come to love it with good leather belt loop attachments. Something to consider, check out sagewood gear (“hybrid belt loops”).

Thanks! It has a nice Mummert clip, which actually is pretty nice, and very solid... So I'll try that for a little while. I just love how handsome a leather sheath is with a big chunk of steel.

It's a gorgeous knife, and I want to do it right (while I'm not using the hell out of it)
