Anyone ever daydream about having one made? I just talked to Reese Weiland about having a Halo 3 fixed blade built. I went to him because he has history with Microtech and knows the grinds too well.

My favorite folder is my favorite folder because it's a folder.

The tip of the Paramilitary 2 is a little too thin to be used as a heavy-use beater knife, which is what I use fixed-blades for anyways.

I have a CKC hiker and a Svord mini peasant. So a fixed blade made from a folder. I think the Buck vantage would make a nice fixed blade.

The HALO III is one of my all time favorites as well. That'll be a neat knife although I'd leave the top guard off of it, top guards just bother me.
A very similar tanto to what you've laid out would be the Tali-whacker, have you checked them out?
I know it's not a HALO III blade but its a nice profile that's ready made.

The top guard is more of a thumb ramp... I don't like top guards either. I looked at the Busse but I love the abrupt geometry of the Halo 3. Reese is giving me a great deal on this project so I can't lose.

I usually think the opposite, I've seen some fixed blades I'd love to see turned into folders.

I also wouldn't mind seeing a Spyderco Civilian kerambit.

The only one I can really say I'd care about would be a fixed version of the ZT 0801, although it makes me wonder how a Benchmade 760 tanto would look as a fixed blade.

I like my Spyderco Kiwi 4 so much I have seriously contemplated having reproduced as a fixed blade. For me the ergonomics are perfect. I'd have Alan Davis do it as he's already done a custom for me.

I have also considered getting a "traditional" version made without a lock or Spydiehole or clip. With brass liners and bone slabs it would be sweet.

I guess it would be the Spyderco Manix which I got yesterday and immediately fell in love with

I'd like it. Although I'd like it better if they made the blade around 5" or 5.5". And maybe make it thicker by 0.5 or 1 mm.

I used to see a fake Strider fixed blade on eBay all the time. Blade was a Strider like spear point and size wise it was about the same as a large folding Strider. Anyone else ever see it? Was there a real Strider like it?

Well a fixed blade version of the Voyager Vaquero XL would be nice.

The Marauder is basically a fixed blade version of the Espada XL, only even more XL, an XXL as it were.

The 419 folding Buck Kalinga is my regular folding EDC, and its design was based of the regular fixed blade version. Both are very good knives
