What is a not so expensive but good fixed blade for Hunting... It would be used for Gutting wild Turkey/deer.. The Turkey is just breasted out.

CRK&T Onion Skinner?

A Buck 103 skinner, is a solid choice IMHO. The blade profile is suitable for field dressing game, and quite useful for general use in the field. It's a pretty blunt blade profile, but I'm growing fond of less extreme blade profiles with very thin, delicate, tips.

Look at AG Russell. I just got his bird and trout and it's a fantastic knife, he has larger models as well.

Bark River Fox River is an outstanding knife for game processing. Used it on four goats this past weekend and it sailed through them. The Buck Vanguard is also excellent in this capacity and not as coin hungry.

For the turkeys and main deer skinning i rely on my trusty Buck 110, ya sounds clique but it is the number one sold knife in history for a reason

There's always the Becker lineup as well... Is there a particular style that speaks to you? Anything else you want to use it for?

Isnt that a folder?

Yeah 110 is a folder...Buck 119 Special is a fixed blade though, and afaik, is a pretty popular hunting knife. Only runs around $45 too so not gonna set you back too much...plus you get the Buck lifetime warranty and a nice sheath. Can't go wrong with the 119 Special.

And if you want a version that looks more stylish, you can get the one with cocobola wood handles and brass bolsters for $75, but the $45 black/silver handled version is just fine for me.

Ag Russell series of knives the deer slayer, bird and trout, hunters scalpel. Only thing is the plastic sheath has a dangler hook. I just hooked it to a key ring then slipped it over a caribeener and put It in my belt loop.

Not only did you beat me to it, but yours was the first post I see! :grumpy: :D

Any of those would be a great choice.
