Hi Everyone,
I got my folder now I need a fixed blade. This blade will be a basic all-duty knife. I'am looking at Busse or Strider. Guide me in. Or recommend another brand. Thanks.

I'd highly recommend Busse over Strider for a fixed blade....why don't you come on over to the Busse Forum with your questions. Everyone would be happy to help you....as to which blade: You'll have to be a little more specific in what you'll be using it for and how you want to carry it. There's a Busse knife for nearly every niche. What are some of the basic uses? What's important to you in terms of performance in different uses?

Go to the Viking Tactics website and have a look at the "Assault" knife.

If you need a do-it-all Busse the Badger Attack (5" blade) or upcoming Anniversary Steel Heart ("6 blade) would do nicely.

you should check out bark river. Lifetime warranty just like the busses. And Sharper:eek: I just got the bravo1. It is bad to the bone. Did I mention that they refinish the knives for free?. Here is there website www.barkriverknifetool.com

Strider EBT! There I said it. Flame on! I really love my EBT 1/4 thick chunk of S-30V. Sorry guy's I just like the look of Strider's better.

I own both Busse and Strider fixed blades. Both will handle any task you toss at them

Ok, since were throwing out "can take anything" knives, allow me to be the one to suggest Ranger Knives RD series. With 1/4in. thick 5160 spring steel, they will take ANYTHING. And you are able to customize anything you might want for a very reasonable price, and Justin just kicks ass to work with. And it will be way cheaper than most already mentioned as well!

A third for Ranger RDs...indestructible, really reasonably priced knives, in 4.5, 6, 7.5, and 9 inch lengths, customizable, personal customer service from the maker himself, lifdetimne warranty (I don't think anybody has actually ever broken one!)....

I'm gettin' one...just can't decide between the RD4 and RD6....

Check out the RD-7. It chops well and with the wide choil you can easily choke up on it for smaller tasks.

Thanks Torm! I'm sure by the time I actually get the thing I'll have talked myself up to the RD9!

The RD-9 will chop like crazy by all accounts I've read but the 7 is probably a better "all-around" blade. Justin's warranty is great and he's a really good guy to work with. Here's a pic of my customized RD-7:
