Well, i've been looking for a good EDC that'll last a while and settled on the 0300, 0350 or the ritter grip. I got to thinkin, maybe a fixed blade? I love fixed blades and own very few, what fixed blade is 200$ or less that i can carry in pocket or legally in ct that is both useful and good steel?

Local customs, as well as laws, are relevant. Fixed blades can be called daggers by mistake or intent, and attitude has a lot to do with what's noticed by policemen.

Things that are commonly tolerated may still be illegal, and things that are legal may not be tolerated.

I personally love double edged knives, own several, and wouldn't carry one locally unless on my own property.

All that said, the 'Sting' is a useful sort of design and a place to start figuring your specs and requirements.

All of these are Ct legal and below your price limit. The largest has a 3 7/8" scale to tip length (it is the same size as a RAT RC-3 but has a longer cutting edge as it has no choil)). That way there can be no question that it falls under our sub 4" sharpened edge law.

All were made by JK Handmade knives, John has his own sub forum here in the makers section. All are 1/8" thick O1 with convex edges and can take anything I throw at them.

The Izula works perfectly for pocket carry.Bark River is offering a sweet looking little fixed necker, that could be used for pocket carry as well.It will be offered with different handle options,as well as different blade colors. If your interested check out Knives Ship Free.Com.
