I don't make many fixed blades but sometimes it is nice to build one just to apply some new skills that I have learned. I am really pleased with the fit and finish and might do more fixed in the future.
This knife has a 5-5/16in blade made from a piece of Karl Andersen high layer damascus. The guard is copper and the frame handle has a mirror polished 1095 frame. The scales are desert ironwood burl with hidden pins. I also scooped out the rear of the handle and shaped it to have a nice palm swell. The overall length is 10-1/2in.
The custom leather sheath is by Claude Scott and it holds the knife nice and snugly with no movement.
Thanks for looking,
Chuck
