Fixed or folder?

I have been watching knives for sale by the makers. I find it kind of interesting the the number of folks viewing is always heavily in favor of the fixed blades. Most of the times that I look, the ratio is about 10 to 1. I just looked again and there were 4 viewing the folders and 37 looking at the fixed knives.

Nothing earthshaking, just an observation. (Maybe I'm just bored )

Personally I am a fan of folders, but it has more to do with where I live and what I do, if it would be accepted by people in my community I would go everywhere with a Busse on my hip, so it has more to do with our environments, and what it is easier to carry and use.

I'm more of a fan of folders, but when it comes to custom knives, the folders are out of my potential price range, so I look at the fixed blades. I only ever look though :sigh:
