He solved the issue to his satisfaction. Below is his new comment.
Thanks to all= A buddy of mine said man-- u got a 2x42 belt sander and all them curves in the blade makes it hard to sharpen-- he advised me to use the wheels on the belt sander to put a flat grind on the knife--and NOW I'm a proud daddy of a sharp blade---again--thanks to all for the help!!
