fixed spyderco lum question

I just bought one of these nib.
While the main edge of the blade is extremely sharp, and the tip is very pointy, the portion of the blade that goes down from the point to the main edge of the blade is not sharp at all.
Is that normal on these knives?

hi ,i have a Lum tanto folder and has the same blade, i think 'cause in orign the tanto blade was used to pierce the armours, so it needs a strong tip.

anyway , they are all this way, at least the "original" style tanto blades

thanks - saved me from sending it back to spyderco for resharpening and getting it back thed same way and wondering "what the heck?"....lol

I believe it's called an "appleseed" tip.
