So yesterday afternoon I chipped the blade of my kabar short right on the curve of the blade. I brought my poor knife back from the dead by first grinding the edge of the blade down against 220 grit sandpaper until the chips were gone. From there I started resharpening the blade starting from 80-120-220 grit wet sandpaper, and moving up to a handheld 2 sided diamond stone. It took about 3 hours, but I finally got the knife back to razor sharp and the blade is free of chips.

How do you guys deal with a chipped blade?

10 minutes on a Kalamozoo. Razor sharp. Power is the fastest way I know and the 1x42belt grinder makes short work of any sharpening job. Still enjoy water stones when there is the time.
