Fixing a loose Tramontina handle?

I know this might not belong here but I'm hoping 42 Blades might be able to help me, if anyone knows how to repeen a Tram handle it's probly him. But this is what happened.
I let my sisters BF borrow my Tram, not knowing he was going to chop a hard fallen over dead apple tree:eek: Does anyone know a good solution to repeen the rivets, if thats what they even are? Thanks- Justin
 
Is it a plastic handle, or wood? Full tang probably? Did the handle actually come off, or is it just loose?

A picture of the damage would be helpful.
