Fixing Bad Kydex?

I recently picked up a very nice little necker from the exchange. Only problem is the kydex sheath it came in is a little crooked and goes very far up the handle, making it tough to draw. The blade also seems to catch the sheath a lot, and I'm sure that will dull it. Is there any way for me to straighten this sheath out and maybe even loosen/trim it shorter for a complete kydex novice? Or do I need to contact another maker on here for a new sheath? Thanks for any advice!

That sheath looks very fixable. I'd start by eliminating most of what covers the handle but leave enough to cover the front of it because that's where your retention will be. Then add a layer or two of masking tape on each side of the blade to fix your rubbing issue.
Heat the sheath with a heat gun, insert the taped knife and re-press it in a home made mold. Blue camping sleeping mat works great but anything similar could be used like dense foam.
