Picked up another 446 Goliath the other day and when it finally arrived it has some side to side blade play. Not to the point that it's unuseable or anything but was wondering if there was something I could do to tighten it up? If I sent it back to buck with some other items that are going in for a spa treatment do you think Buck could fix it? I think I'm getting addicted to this model. Something about the size and light weight really appeals to me not to mention it's feels great in the hand.

I think that with that type of pivot pin could be compressed one more time but it may get too tight. They don't use the washer that the 486's use and I think the washer helps.

Thank you edbeau. I may try and see if I can press things a bit tighter. On a side note, I've seen a couple of 110's that folks had reset into slabs of bullet resistant glass, maybe Leroy did them but was thinking that a Goliath done up that way would be pretty interesting.

Bad, that would look cool to make one in bullet proof glass... Call Leroy, he made the new clear 110s but not the older ones... I don't know if he could make the holes in the handles like the 446, but that would look cool if he could... you just have to ask him, I guess... Maybe I'll call him and find out... ITE ... ;)

I tried backing the pin with a coin on one side and took a hammer and punch to the other side but nothing happened. Doesn't appear anything tightened up at all.
