fixing blade play

ok so ive searched google for this for the last few times but cant find my anwsers. i have a slipjoint knife, and older shrade. has some side to side play. anyone know how to fix that by any chance? i know there was an older thread about it, dealing with a bylldog seahorse whittler i think, just cant seem to find it anywhere. thanks guys.

You need to put pressure on the pivot around the pin but not on it. If it get's too tight you need to put a spanner between the handle liners and press them apart. You should add some dry lubricant while it's loose.

If there is a screw, tighten it, if not try lightly tap the pivot with a hammer.
