Fixing blade play

Is there any way to fix blade play in vantage pro.
It's enough to rattle when shaken and it's vertical play so the pivot screw aint much help.
I've ended up putting duct tape on the guide rail to push the blade more forward so it locks up better, but I'm not so sure if it's so "permenant".

How is the liner lock working? is it not moving over far enough or the liner lock moves when you test for up and down blade play? If the linerlock is all the way on the otherside of the liner, there's not much you can do unless you can make a slightly larger blade stop.

You could ring Buck and ask if it's covered under their warranty.

I don't think it is cause I took the knife apart to check what was wrong.
That voids a buck warranty.

A lot of those Buck Vantages came NEW with lock all the way to the other side. I really doubt that it has anything to do with you taking it apart, unless the issue appeared after you did that.
I don't know if Buck will take care of this issue under warranty. I would LOVE to know.
The fix I was talking about will definitely void your warranty, because the only way I know to fix the issue (without replacing the whole locking liner or a stop pin) is to deform the lock or the stop pin enough, so the blade locks earlier.

So what's wrong with the liner lock? Could you post a pic of the linerlock?

The problem is that the blade goes to far back.
I took it apart and did some major taping and got rid of it but it came back.

So it doesn't go over to the other side enough or it goes too far over the other side? (sorry just trying to clarify)

Neither I tried to wiggle the lock to see if it was going to far. The guide rails are to long.

The lockbar isn't hitting the blade unless I push the lockbar all the way across to the to the other side of the blade which is pointless.
