ok guys and gals. to explain the situation a bit ( its a little long but it gonna clarified some chois further in). i live in canada and they just passed a laws about banning flipper from passing the border. but a the knives that are alredy in are good to go. so iv bought a HTM gunhammer and disassembled it to take care of the action that was starting to get a littel stif. doing that no knowing that its was on some IKBS bearing. but im a smart man (not) and done the disassembly on a magnetise plate. so when i got to reassembly all the bearing were acting weird when i put the scales together so separating them and they fell down. so long story short iv lost about half of them. but with the flipper banned for going through the border i don't wanna risk getting my knife seized. tryed to reach HTM im not able to get a hold of them. so knowing all the story what can i do ? is someone here know the bearing size so a can buy some new one ?or do somebody have a idea that i don see ?

luckily bearing are pretty easy to find. as mentioned usaknifemaker carries many and granger and other industrial companies have more then you can imagine and many times are less expensive because they are not considered knife bearings. Im not familiar with your knife but are they stainless or ceramic?

This may be something you already know, but they make a magnet broom, I work in the welding/fab industry and many times things like this happen. Luckily many years ago they came out with a mop but its a big magnet and it has been a miracle worker many times.

If you want order a sack of 100 ball bearings from a supplier, you need to know the diameter in decimal or fractional inches.

Yes, find the size of the bearings and order them. No need to send the knife to HTM.

no they are gone of this world. i work on my gun/knives/all other thing in the basement and the floor is not good and the walls don't fit well to the floors anyway. gone ! but i'll try and get some on one of the site you guys referde. thanks a lot for all the help.

As any Gunsmith will tell you, small parts like your bearings and any small part with a spring behind it, are air soluble. So, you are correct, those bearings are gone. They have completely vaporized upon contact with air.

i can't tell if you are sacratique and making fun of me or if you just feel the pain of losing very small parts on the thing you working on. one thing is for sure even in heavy equipment mechanic im able to loose bolts ans nuts and only find them weeks later. maybe im not the best at finding thing or just plain stupid but that dosen't change the fact that ive lost them. but thanks for your comment anyway.

I was definitely feeling your pain...... I lose parts all the time....... And yes unfortunately I am overly sarcastic....did not mean to offend

FWIW, I didn't think he was mocking you bro, I just took it that he was humorously empathizing. :) A lot of us, myself included, have had that ridiculous, maddening situation where you're working with a small parts assembly, and parts go spraying all over, and some of them you never find again. I knew right away what gunfixrjoe gunfixrjoe was talking about and chuckled, I've had some frustrating times losing small pistol parts myself.
