Eric, ask your service provider is Perl was recently upgraded on the server that hosts RatChat. If yes, ask your service provider if they can try removing the vars.pm file from the Perl modules directory. Alternatively, you may want to upgrade the current version UBB.classicTM 6.3.0 to a newer version. Although ubb.classic is at end-of-life you can dl the last sw release version at www.ubbcentral.com, provided you have a valid license and you have registered.
 
The problem with switching bulletin board applications is porting the database. One would not want to loose all of the existing content.
