The factory scales on my Vic Explorer are loose on one side and falling off on the other completely. This is confusing and frustrating because the knife has never been dropped and upon inspection, neither of the scales have damages or imperfections to the holes that correspond to the rivets.
I was thinking of using a thin layer of adhesive like gorilla glue or Loctite gel to permanently bond them on. I'm also considering replacing them completely with custom scales but after googling it I haven't found much on how to go about getting the customs.
Suggestions on how to repair the current scales and find replacements would be very helpful. Thanks- Andrew

I've never bought from these guys yet, but:

There's a shop called SOSAK Online. Within that site, look for the RotoKid Shop, then 'Knife Modification, Care and Maintenance', then 'Victorinox Factory Parts'. They carry replacement factory scales. Your Explorer will use the 91mm scales.

(I'd post a direct link, but sometimes that is against the rules around here.)

BTW, that site also has custom options for scales.
