I went and looked at the preorder thread to see as to where you were in line and found out that you had paid circa 7/27. I would like to highly commend how CPK is handling this and for the fact that Nathan has even let the preorder thread to remain open beyond the original 30 (IIRC) which he was initially somewhat hesitant to do. Considering that the Carothers took a week off for their Family vacay, this is really great going to have received an actual shipping notification in less than 4 weeks after your confirmed payment.
The fact that Jo / Nathan are not invoicing everyone upfront, although they very well could do so, and just invoice those who are in close proximity of having their order fulfilled is a very admirable business practice. For this very reason, I placed a preorder for my second CPK-FK and although I'm currently well in the back of the line, I take comfort in the fact that I need not to be almost 6 months out of pocket before I see my encore FK. Also, this preorder method does not compel me to resort to keyboard-foo on an actual sale Friday because I already own and cherish one (now that the darn sheath rattle issue has been resolved by way of my Sagewood dangler) in addition to the scenario that someone else in a more dire need may be able to score one directly form CPK.
In closing I sincerely hope that if / when Nathan decides to shut down the FK-preorder thread and as the CPK-EDC rolls into the market with more frequency and in larger quantities, the Carothers would consider a preorder thread for their EDC too.

Yep, its moving right along. I spend most of my time in Busse land, and I've got 10 orders open stretching back to 1/2016 so this is pretty fast in my world.
I would LOVE to see a pre-order for the SK, and the Light Choppers since I can never seem to hit the timing on the sale threads and I can wait. :thumbup:
