Anyone know what the deal is in FL? Thanks.

Also, anyone know where the search button is? I don't have one on my screen. :(

unless i'm mistaken, the search feature is only for paying members.

as for FL law (on knives), here's the short version:

ANY knife other than a "common pocket knife" (plastic knives are possibly still exempt) is considered a weapon. "common pocket knives" can be concealed. concealed carry permit applies to ALL legal weapons. no state statute against open carrying of (most) non firearm weapons, however, local restrictions MAY apply (i don't know of any)

so, concealing a knife other than "a common pocket knife" is a misdemeanor.

Whereas there are no restrictions on the open carry of knives.

yea, that's what i meant when i said there's no state statute against the open carry of (most) non firearm weapons. i do believe that municipalities might have the right to make ordinances against it, but i don't know of any that do have them.

i ran across a guy OC'n a Scottish Claymore, once. my Lt. told me i was correct, when i said there was no RS for detainment. god, i love FL
