Any potential legal problem carrying a PM 2 ?
The wording of the law seems a little vague to me.
I know they recognize my cc permit from my state,
but that may not factor in anywhere.
Thanks for your input!

PM2 would be considered a common pocketknife in Florida. As for the law, it is not vague at all. Yo can carry pretty much anything open.

I am actually interested in this too. I have friends in Miami and would like to visit there and maybe Orlando. What is considered open for a folder. Does clip showing count? maybe clarify some other aspects too if you can.

Florida does not have the "concealed in whole or in part" language in its statue. The alleged problems have arisen in there "liberal" counties in South Florida where a judge says that a "scary" folder may no be a "common pocketknife"Of course, these cases typically arise out of something else. Obviously, it is MUCh more common to have an object declared a "weapon" based actual use than merely on appearance beyond the obvious types like firearms and say a dagger.

You should get a concealed carry license so you don't have to worry about it. That's what I did.

Varies by county.

Where I am I can carry switchblade and balisong. In Dade county Miami you can't.

State preemption of knife laws is a legislative priority, and what KnifeRights.org strives for.

That's what TN finally passed first, then it led to repeal of all limitations on type or length.
