FL - what constitutes "concealed"

Bottom line: I have my concealed weapon/firearm permit and I know it's only a non-criminal fine if you don't have it on your person while carrying a concealed weapon. I do sometimes walk to the mailbox at the end of our block, or walk my dog with an assisted opener and leave my permit at home.

Assuming the knife I'm carrying qualifies as a weapon, and it's clipped to my pocket in such a way that the knife itself is visible (not covered by a shirt, etc and not using a low-ride clip) do you think this would be considered "open carry"?

I'll go ahead and clarify that I understand any responses are not legal advise given by a professional. Just wondering if anyone is familiar with any case law, or has had personal experience.

My experience is that concealment is never an issue unless you are stopped as a suspect for doing something illegal. Walking the dog and fetching the mail don't qualify (unless you do it a 4 a.m. all dressed in black).
