Sarastoa Fl I Used Remington 3006,my Best Friend Used Marlin 3030 These Are The Number 7 And 8 Hog We Got On This Property In 3 Trips.we Will Be Going Back I Three Weeks Todo It Again.

Hogs can be a real nuissance and I hate to see peoples land get ruined by a non-indigenous species;)

tree stand and still hunting saw about 50 hogs today we both took the largest for meat.already butched and on ice.it will be so good your lips will try and beat your brains out.crock pot 8hrs and bbq you'll need a spoon to get meat out crockpot.geting hungry just talking about it-gery

I hunted a ranch in Miaca a few years ago. My dad got a hog with a FN FAL! Shot her twice with overlapping holes. Nice group pops.

Were you hunting south towards Boca or east towards Miaca.. Don't worry I will not take your spot.
 
Oh,yeah. Myakka river state park. Spent a few dozen nights in those woods. I had a serious hog come right out in front of me while alone eight miles in on foot. Hiking a trail it came out of the palmettos about six feet in front of me. I had a SHBM in my hand, and was ready to take him. however this thing was BIG and startled me a bit. Within a couple seconds it saw me snorted and ran back into the bush. Also saw a 12 foot gator in there. road was ten foot wide and his head was on one side of the road while his tail was on the other, gotta get back down there one day. live in jacksonville now
 
Nice hogs! Just put me a loin on ice and I'll fire up the Crock pot! Hash n' rice, so nice!
 
Cooler of ice water, lemon juice and vinegar for three days and you will have the best tasting hog ever. Even tried it with my dove and it was the best meat I have ever consumed and I Eat my share of fillet mignon:D
 
I've found some mojo citrus marinade from winn-dixie that we use as a base and add to that.The longer it marinates the better.Slow cook in crock pot or in oven or grill for 6-8 hrs. for best results .

yes, a 5" s&w 629, it was one of my better shots, about 40 yards and she was running 90 degrees to me, i was able to put one 240grn speer flat point right where it counts. bill wilson was on that hunt as well and he was using a 1911, he got a couple as well.
