Since I'm new, I'm wondering what you people think all the major companies'
signature knives are.
I'm already pretty sure Benchmade's is the Griptilian.

i would have said 710 for benchmade.

Kershaw would most likely be the Blur or Leek IMO. It's really hard to just pick on of their knives though honestly.

To add to list

ESSE - Izula
Buck - 110

Benchmade- Griptillians/mini
Spyderco- Endura/Delica
Kershaw- Ken Onion Leek/chive/shallot/scallion
CRKT- M16
Buck- 110 or maybe now Vantage
Leatherman- Wave
Victorinox- Swisschamp/ alox soldier/pioneer/ classic

Benchmade - 710
Spyderco - Military/Paramilitary
Kershaw - Ken Onion Leek etc...
Buck - Vantage
Sog - Aegis/Flash/Trident

i'd also like to hear more opinions on this as i like to collect "flagship" blades

I'm with you other than I would say:

Kershaw Ken Onion Leek
Cold Steel Master Hunter (carbon v version)

and I would add:

Buck 110
Vitorinox (any alox model)

*flagship - the most important in establishing a public image.

for a flagship knife, obviously it's something that has been in the productline for ages.
probably a best seller or a sleeper in this regard.

i'm just wondering if gerber's is either the Mark II or the LST?

amongst victorinok SAK enthusiast it has to be the an alox model.

and buck just can't seem to get away from the 110 folding hunter tag.

case run a wide selection with scales,
but for blade patterns it could be the medium stockman or peanut?

opinel zealots have cravings for the wooden handle #7 or #8

fewer yet have had more than 40 years of production history.

When I think of knives, these are the manufacturers and models that immediately spring to mind:

Benchmade--Griptilian
Buck--110
Case--Stockman, Trapper
Cold Steel--Voyager series
CRKT--M16/M21
Emerson--CQC 8
Gerber--Gator (lol)
KA-BAR--USMC fixed combat
Kershaw--Leek
Leatherman--PST
Schrade (Taylor Brands)--Uncle Henry, Old Timer
SOG--Flash 1/2
Spyderco--Delica/Endura
Victorinox--Cadet, Tinker

Your mileage may vary. How ya doin'? :D

that looks pretty good but i'd have to give the nod to the Commander series for Emerson

I think so, too. Spyderco and Kershaw have too many longterm successes to name just one flagship model.

Think about Kershaw's Bump variants, too.

SOG is quite obviously the seal pup since they are around everywhere
ESEE id have to say its the ESEE 3
Spyderco makes me think endura that is their most popular model, its got wide appeal and comes in a bunch of different forms.

for Emerson its the CQC-7 that is THE emerson knife that started it all, its the knife he designed for benchmade and its the first knife his company produced and its till going strong

if you take 'flagship' to mean 'the knife this company is best known for', then the F1 fits the bill for Fallkniven.

the Cowry-X damascus Iduns are certainly expensive and impressive looking, but what about Thor?

that's the biggest blade they make except for their 'mine clearance knife'.

edit: for ESEE i'd say the Izula is their best known knife.

Bzzzzt. :D ACFK or 710 would be better candidates. ;)

Spyderco would be a tough call between the Military and the Delica, IMO.

I'd have to add these:
Buck - Woodsman
Gerber - LST
Svord - Wood handled Peasant
Queen - Country Cousin
Case - Peanut
CRKT - KISS
Mora - Classic 1
Ontario - RAT-1
Boker - Boker Plus
Becker - Used to be the BK-2, now I'd say the BK-11
Benchmade - Model 42 Balisong or the Griptilian series
Microtech - H.A.L.O. 5
