Hi!

I'm looking for a EDC but really don't know where to start. I thought I'd ask this forum what the best selling Emerson is or perhaps their "flagship" model.

Thanks!

IMHO the CQC7 & Commander has been around a long time so the overall sales numbers must be very high.

The CQC has to be the flagship in that it is what got the whole ball rolling...

You cannot go wrong with either a cqc-7 or a commander.

According to the folks at Emerson Knives, the Commander is their flagship model and best seller.

Personally, I prefer the CQC7 in productions and the CQC8 as a custom.

There will be a production waved cqc-8 for 2005, to be released very soon...

We've been bugging him for the production waved 8 for a few years...got to handle one at SHOT.

I think it will outsell the Commander...now all I need is a waved Super 8 with green liners, ti-bolsters and micarta scales and i'll be a happy man!

Go with the CQC-7B if you like tanto's and the Commander if you like recurves. You can find a standard CQC-7B for less than $100, a waved one will go $ 115 to $ 125, the Commander is more expensive.

CQC7 or commander are both good, i would get a SOCFK myself though, its cheaper than a commander to boot.

If you want a larger knife, you can't go wrong with a CQC11. Very strong "bull-nose" point, recurved blade, great handle ergos. It has replaced my venerable Commander as my EDC:)

I just backordered a karambit. I'm going to wait for the CQC 8. Love that design.

Boy these Emerson knives are popular!
