Flame anodizing

I am seeing more and more of this type of anodizing on titanium handles than ever before. In fact I have a DB Fraley XL Deluge that has this finish. I'm wondering how durable it is and it stacks up to the more traditional method of anodizing. Also want to say that I REALLY like the flame anodizing. Gives it a sorta' camoflauge look!

Art, I would be safe to say it would hold up better,Hit anodizing is more color fast,it does not mare or wear off after time,the only down side to it is harder to control the color,but the up side is it stays,,I to think it has a very cool look to it,
