Anyone else ever deal with something like this? I noticed it a couple weeks back and it does effect some of the rivets and makes them look not very attractive.

Holy cow! That is some soft metal! I'd be curious to see if this has happened to anyone else.

Does the company providing them have a warranty?

If they don't he can always knock a few more dings in it and have a nice flower pattern...

Joking aside I've just checked dies and don't see that kind of wear.

Knife Kits says they are made by CKK industries and they are hardened so Ill probably contact Knife Kits because contacting Ckk might be hard.

Mine look similar. Also got them from Knife Kits, but I used them the wrong direction the first couple of times. I think that caused the dents. Still they should be hardened preventing such a behaviour.

If they're lined up it looks odd, if not the die itself could ding it. IF using the press from knife kits make sure it's lined up before pressing

If you use the backward it'll press the eyelet inwards and wad up the eyelet, that could cause the dings. If you're not lined up and send it home it'll definitely ding the die.

That's assuming the steal is hardened. I apologize for my prior post, I just re-read it and it does sound like that was what I was eluding to. Just to clarify, did use my dies backwards. Just yesterday in fact. I should have taken some pics of what it did to the eyelets. Anyways to get back on task, I use firm and steady pressure and pressed the first one all the way.. and it jammed the dies together, it pressed part of the eyelet between the male and female ends and curled the other part over. I did notice that the pressure seemed a bit off but payed no attention to it (mistake number 2). I think one were to send it home with a hammer it may damage the die. We're assuming that you use a press, but I've seen videos of people using these dies with a hammer.

The more realistic thing that is most likely happening is that you're letting the press arm fall on to the die with out getting it aligned, that will more than likely cause that type of damage. If that's what you're doing stop lol... if that isn't the case you should take a look at your procedure take apart step by step and see where the damage could occur.

If you're using a press can you tell me what kind of press it is?

If you've got the one from knifekits you may want to look into doing this simple mod YOUTUBE LINK it helps bunches with getting things aligned

You pressed and they weren't aligned, silly.. Those dents are from the point on the flaring side.
