Any idea where I can find flaring dies to use on tubing? I've done a few searches and all the knife supply eStores seem to be out of them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Visit your towns Snap-On, Mac, Matco or Cornwall tool distributor trucks or failing those check out the Grainger catalog or store. Not so sure if Auto Zone or consumer tool stores carry the equipment you desire.

I have a set from USA knifemaker and they work great. I use a 1 ton arbor press from harbor freight.

When I do my handles with flared tubing I usually glue up with greased dummy pins and then take them out and do all my handle shaping. Then when I'm done I cut the tubes so they are the exact width of the handle, super glue them in place and then flare.

You can also use the Daniel Fairly method and cut the tubes oversized, glue them up with the handle and then sand them flush and flare from there. I use this method sometimes as well but you have to be very careful not to get epoxy in the chamfered/ counter sunk area.

Many folks just make their own. You can get fancy with a lathe, or just chuck a bolt in the drill press and go at it with a file and sandpaper.

KalEl, typically USA Knifemaker is my go to but they they have been out of stock for a while and I've had a few issues with orders arriving days to a week late so I've decided to look elsewhere. Thank you though for your input.

Other Responses: Thank you all for your suggestions, it had not occurred to me to check with the automotive side.

I have seen people use two ball bearings on each side and press them in a bench vise. Now sure how well that works but I would imagine it would work fine

Here is a video I made of my set up. Not really a tuto
