SOG NEWBIE ALERT!!!

My daughter wants to get her dude friend a SOG 98000 Flash II.

Is there a diff between what I see on the auction site between a "98" and "98000"?

Usually I lurk in the Buck watering hole so I appreciate your indulgence in answering my post.

Kind Regards...
Goose.

Thanks Midwest Ninja...
I am thinking that as well.

He wants a SOG 98000 Flash II Aluminum handle partially serrated.

I'd rather just give him a Applebee's gift card...would be a lot easier. ;)

I think the SOG98000 may be a specific retailers part number for the FSA-98. That is just my guess though. It sounds like the knife he wants is the SGFSA-98 which can be seen on the SOG webstie here.

Hope this helps

Thanks so much Chris.
Just ordered one :)
I saw the Limited Edition run of the same with the smooth aluminum on the web. I just may have to get one of those for myself. Too cool for school

Thanks again Midwest Ninja and Chris!

Hey Buckaholic, long time no talk :D. Looks like you wandered into my usual hunting grounds, lol. Coincidentally I am going to purchase a SOG Flash II satin finish partially serrated with the black handle tomorrow at Lowes. Kind of funny that they carry them, but I'm not complaining. I traded my other one off about a month ago or so since I got my SOG Vulcan, but I still miss it and I would like to get it back now that I can combo it with my SOG Field Pup when outdoors.

Great little knife and if you want a real review of one, look for "the unstoppable flash" that guy gives great detail of just how much the 'plastic' handle can withstand. Kind of inspiring to us all *eyes glisten as saying this*

Oh, I found it for ya:
