Well today i went to the mall looking for a knife. I was planning on buying a Trident folder but they were sold out :( So i was looking around and saw the flash II. I bought it and i am happy i did :D

I love the S.A.T. opening. It's so smooth and much easier than my kershaw leak. The pocket clip is also a feature i love on this knife.

My only problem with this knife is the lock on it hurts the fingers since i have to close it after each opening :o . I'll deal with it though.

One happy Flash II customer.

See........ :D we been telling everyone they are loads of fun !

The lock is a little tight when new, it will get easier, and maybe a drop of light weight oil will help in lock area and pivot of knife...........AFTER a break in period.

Mine just keeps getting smoother it seems, the more you open and close, the faster and smoother they get. Glad you like it.......one other note, lots of people pull knife from pocket when clipped by putting fingers on clip and back of knife, this is not the easy way.

There are finger grooves on one side of zytel handles for fingers to hold to, index and thum only, pull up. when you pull up with fingers on clip, it just makes the clip squeeze your pocket harder.

P.S. Gosh, look at my post count (999) ! I must make the next post a good one ! :D

The Flash II is a great knife :) Mine goes wherever I go and hasn't failed me yet. The lock does seem to be easier now then when I first got it, but that may just be because my fingers have gotten used to it from opening it like 10,000 times. :D

My Flah II is always on me whether I carry another knife as well or not.I've been ravin' about 'em for years and I gift 'em for birthdays an Christmas, usually guys but one to a gal.Best bang for a buck there is,IMO. Robbie congrats on your 1,000th!Save it for a good one. :) sp. on Flash, too lazy to edit today.

Wow, congratulations, sorry I missed that in my first post, make sure you use it on somthing important. :)

My recently acquired Flash II is my EDC. I like it a lot and it carries more easily than my Pentagon II.

Went to Smoky knife works today, went behind the counter to check SOG Revolver stock for this coming weekend Rep. show and ended up selling 3 Flash IIs to a father and two grown sons in about 12 minutes.............all black zytel with plain edge blades. :D

They were absolutely thrilled to get them ! I could hardly get them back from them to box them up, these things are addictive !

I just thought I would add a little more to this Flash II thread......

Looks like I'm in excellent company, mine too is a zytel handled plain edged number

Completely happy with mine also  :)

Not to butt in, but I was curious, did SOG ever make a PE spearpoint (drop-point?) Flash II with an aluminum handle? If not, I may have to get myself a tanto. I love my zytel-handled model, but would appreciate an aluminum companion for it. These knives are highly underrated. A sleeper, even.

I don't think they ever did make the PE blade for aluminums, I just swapped a PE blade for a buddy from a zytel PE to an aluminum version. :D

Turned out really nice, and smooth too ~!

The key to Flash II models is a 5/64 allen tool and a few drops of lightweight machine oil. This way you can tune them like a piano........ :D

Just watch out for the "MICRO" ball bearing and spring that keeps the lock in place !
