I had email Rob about their "Flash Sale", but have not received any response for sometime, since before their last show. Perhaps, I suppose my question is too insignificant.

I hope experts here can shed some light for this newbie. I read some member here bought Hinderer knife in the Hinderer Flash Sale few weeks ago. I wonder how do I know when Flash Sale is or will be going on, so I can get up to date next time.

I follow these sub forum with great interest, any response will be appreciated.

TIA.

That's half the excitement of the flash sales. You never know when they are going to be! Watch the sales threads. There have been a lot of RHKs lately for damn close to direct order pricing. Best of luck broseph!

Their name alone should be an indicator...a flash sale is unknown when and where they will take place. Rick Hinderer Knives conducts flash sales at any time and any place (and by any place, they have multiple forums and social media outlets).

^ I was referring to the secondary market RHKs in the sales threads (the exchange) not the flash sales. :)

Thanks fellas! Got it, dealing with the unknown is always exciting!

I don't see that kind of close to direct order pricing over in the Exchange For Sale section. I checked that first thing after signed in. I must be missing the boat again, chasing the wrong tail! :)

Oh, well!

At least you guys gave me an answer and I am not even trying to buy anything from you. Appreciate it!

Mahalo!

Well that clears a lot up........ I've been Flashing innocent passer's - by in the hopes that it would trigger a sale.

It's been Fun (for me at least) but " No Sale" on knives or anything else for that matter. Some old woman offered me a dollar to please stop but...

I thought that was just mean.

Best thing I can recommend, be patient. I've seen some Hinderer's listed for very good prices over the past month or so on the exchange. Much less than I paid even 3 months ago.

As far as flash sales go - even if you had personal, advanced notice of a flash sale, your odds of making a purchase aren't very good. a 10 knife flash sale will be gone faster than you can enter your credit card data. Trust me, I've been there. And the knife isn't yours until you hit "Submit Order". So while you're typing your shipping address, 20 more people are doing the exact same thing - and for the same knife. It's a frustrating process but very rewarding when you win!

Good luck and be patient! I wish I would have been more patient!

^^Thanks for the explanations along with morale boost, Z71! I suppose you are a Chevy fan?

I am a firm believer of good things will land on one who waits.

Right on fellas! :)

I have seen one RHK Flash Sale that took the better part of ten minutes before out of stock so not all of them evaporate like alcohol on a hot skillet. That being said, it is best to move fast and be prepared.

Rob YOU CRACK ME UP.........................

Jeezus.... I gotta start reading posts more closely. I just burned my lips.

I thought Rich was on to something with the skillet idea, I'd been using a glass and I figured, "Well, it IS Winter so WTH". Ouch!

Are Aloe plants poisonous?

I don't know if you are asking me about Aloe?

Side effect of Aloe is little off the subject of Flash Sale, but for you, my man, it is believed by some locally, among other unexplained qualities, that this plant can prevent catching the common cold. :)

Just my typical (humor) figured we were good with the Flash Sale issue having been answered but we can stay on Topic :)

It does seem to be that the Face Book crowd have a quicker reaction window, I don't FB so I can't testify to that but it has been my OBservation.
Not the least of which due to the fact that "FBer's" do so in all places at all hours of the day and night.
I have even seen "FB'ing being done while "PEe'ing" (humor again, see... I can't help it even when I'm trying)

It's also fun trying to enter data at highway speeds...several past FSs have happened while I've been mobile. Luckily, the piles of activity challenge the servers and such..so I bail on my attempts quickly.

Although just recently joined, been on the forum long enough, realized your sense of humor then back with mine, with the comment on the cold prevention and such - but as you all can see, failed at my attempt. I can say the same thing as you, will not work! That is just me, no timing! :)

Thanks for your further suggestions.

Just yesterday, over in the Exchange, one member had one 3 1/2" Slicer for $400 (but for some reason, I wasn't comfortable) and another $525 with an extra scale(if that was an Wharnie, it would have been on its way!)

Again, thank you fellas, for the humors and suggestions to help me pass the time - while waiting for the right opportunity. :)

The cool thing about the "Knife Hobby" IMO is, once your taste has directionalized (hows that for a fat word, yeah) you know what I mean, thought you liked it only to find out, not so much. Then you get a little older and tastes settle in.
So, little bonus $$ here and there OR you take the equivalent of a cell phone bill or smoking habit amount and throw it in a jar every month.
Every 6-8 months you have a nice tidy sum to go in search of your next Favorite EDC.
No small animals or bratty kids get starved from lack of milk money, Grandma still has shoes even if she talks to them and you have nobody to apologize to (unless your married) - Lifes Good (unless your married) :)

Just kidding (jk) cuz (I am married) and you never know who is reading this stuff.

" No Honey I am not looking at Porn OR facebooking my Girlfriend" I'm ahhhh looking at Kniv... yeah ahh its Porn - you caught me ;)
