Very good advice BuckyKatt, I was going to mention the pry bar thing, but then I thought surely he won't do that with a knife........

.
Sollie, don't use any oil at first, open that thing about 300 times in the first hour (break in)

, then one or two drops of light weight oil in the pivot and spring area will make it even faster and smoother.
You should not need to sharpen for a long while unless you cut lots of paper or cardboard. these things come shaving sharp. Just play with it and have fun while breaking it in. Learn the different carry methods and how to carry it so it will be easy to get out of your pocket.
Don't pull knife from pocket while squeezing on clip that is holding it, this makes the clip squeeze that much tighter on your pocket. Use the "knurls" provided on one side of zytel handles to pull it out using index and thumb, this makes it come out much smoother and faster.
And most importantly besides keeping it locked while in your pocket

, be careful not to accidently catch clip on doors, cabinets and refrigerators

, this has been a problem mentioned several times in the past.......end result is bent clip. (something has to give and it's sure not going to be the things it caught on).
Hope this helps.
