Some years ago I acquired a Coleman brand combination spotlight and floodlight. Runs on 4D batteries, has a krypton bulb. I liked it then and I still like it, but lately I haven't been getting much bang for my battery buck, I think the bulb is wearing out.
This is pretty much the beast right here http://www.amazon.com/Dorcy-41-1015...d=1382749119&sr=1-3&keywords=dorcy+flashlight
Anyway I'm wondering if I can swap out the krypton bulb for one of those LED conversion bulbs available for the 3 and 4 cell Maglite flashlights, since they promise brighter light and longer battery life. But first I'd like to know if the conversion kit will work in Coleman/Dorcy/whatever non-Maglite brand flashligts.
