Hey members,

It is only recent that I starting to like Flashlight. I started EDCing a Fenix E05....about a years ago. Then last week I got a deal on a surefire E2L....and a Fenix TK11...

I don't know much, the only two brand I know is Fenix & sure fire.

So what brand do you guys like? What model? Which is good?

I carry around a Nebo Redline, it's a bit on the larger side, but works very nicely. I also have a NovaTac 120E, another really nice light too bad NovaTac got bought out and discontinued =(. I've heard good things about HDS lights and am thinking about picking on of those up, really not sure yet though...

EDIT: Might want to check out Candle power forums, they know lots about lights there =)

4Sevens makes some excellent single CR123 lights--the Quark in particular is my favorite.

Olight, Eagletac, Nitecore, and Sunwayman produce excellent torches as well.

In order of my preference: NiteCore, Fenix, Olight, Klarus, Maglite. Some other brands you should checkout are: Thurnite, Sunwayman, XTAR, Eagletac, 4sevens, Armytek, Niwalker, JETBeam. There are a lot more than this but these are quite common amongst flashlight nuts.

Nitecore and Zebralight are two of my favorites. Can't go wrong with any of the lights listed above.
Good luck in your new addiction.

I recently picked up a Surefire 500 lum ED2 Ultra Defender for $185 on Ebay for home use and carry a Fenix PD20 everyday!

As usual it depends on what you want to do with it and what your size, weight and budget constraints are.

What kind if batteries will you use? Disposable or rechargeable. Standard or exotic? This makes a big difference since some of the exotic batteries are hard to come by and are expensive. AAA, AA, CR123, RCR123, 18650 are the most common ones. They are in order of least power to most.

Also hand held or headlamp? Long and thin cylinder or short and stocky cylinder?

Really depends on what you want/need. I EDC a StreamLight MicroStream. Single AAA, and a pocket clip that is also capable of clipping to the brim of a hat (comes in handy for work that needs both hands). It's only 28 lumens but I find that is plenty for my needs. I just ordered an Olight S10 (single CR123). Want to see how pocket friendly it is. It is 320 lumens, so quite an upgrade if it fits in my pocket!

I've been carrying an Eagletac D25C with an XML2-U2 LED. It's been fantastic. I would highly recommend it.

I have ALOT of flashlights. My EDC is now a Zebra SC600. More than enough for anything I need to pull out of my pocket. Have not taken a photo of it, but here is an old photo showing a few of my collection back in '10.

I carry the Fenix LD22 every day. It's surprising how often I use it now that I carry a flashlight in my pocket. I would have guessed that I would only use it once or twice a week. I use it every day though. Love the different settings on the LD22 and the heft of the light.

Wow...nice collection. I just got my first sure fire E2L...outdoorsman.
