Just received my new Flashpoint today :)

It's supposed to be a handground one with S30V steel, but as it's nowhere marked on the blade, I can't tell for sure,,,

Anyway, I like it a lot, feels very substantial in hand for such a small knife

Another winner from Rick !

I think you can order the 'regular' Flashpoints with 154CM steel directly from Rick at the moment,,, I might order one myself when the spare cash is topped up again,,, as a user,,,

wow, I didn't realize how small they are. Makes me want a 3" XM... are there going to be any more of those Rob?

The cutting edge of the Flashpoint is (nearly) as long as the one on the 3" XM-18,,, it's just not as broad,,,

The pictures make it look smaller then it is probably,,, and afterall,,, it is a neck knife ! ;)

I did not want to start a new thread and thought someone here could answer. I just received a new Flashpoint and 1st observation was "what a cute little bugger". Perfect size. My 2nd observation was it is fantastically tight in the kydex. Is this normal? Is there a way to loosen it up a bit? When I say tight I mean it would break the chain to remove with one hand. Thanks

I also have a Flashpoint and you can loosen the sheath by heating it up a little with a blow dryer, then pull the knife a little bit out of the sheath and let it cool.
When the sheath is cooled down it is not as stiff as it used to be.

Don't heat it to much because will melt ;)

I love the tight sheath and the good snap.
