Just out of curiousity, does anyone have any idea how many flat grind sebenzas were made? I might be on a mission(to get one).

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure but I don't think there were (relatively speaking) very many. As an educated guess I would say less than 200 but I could be way wrong. Chris didn't like the consistency of quality in the flats grinds so they were discontinued. I wish I had a left hand one at least for the collector value.;)

Gotcha Scott;) I am followin some leads for one, and I have heard that they are excellent users too. And since it is BG42, it is kind of hard to pass up:)

If my memory serves me correctly, there were only about 130 flat ground Sebenzas made, making them relatively scarce, certainly rarer than the two runs of NICA Tantos. Almost all of them were hand signed by Chris on the blade. I have only seen a few of these for sale since the inventory was used up 5 or so years ago. It did take quite a while for these to sell out from CRK, so they were not immensely popular at the time, but I don't believe that they were widely advertised, either. I hope someday Chris will be able to revisit this design and bring it into production. Though not quite as elegant as a hand profiled hollow grind, the flat grind nonetheless has arguably a functional advantage in slicing tasks. My flat grind Sebenzas are my favorite profile of all of the blade variations.

I believe 130 total sounds about right, but back when I bought mine (left-hand) model, I checked with Anne and she told me that they had only made 5 of the 130 as left-handed models so I feel priviledged to have acquired one, collectors item or not.

Aha - flat ground Sebbies! Aren't they the best!

I know someone here who just managed to find one last week, so they are out there, you just need to look.
Here's mine (not for sale!) :D

Flat-ground Sebenzas: 120 to 130 were made if memory serves right. I consider them to be the ultimate EDC.
