Thought i'd share this, put this together today. This thing works great originally was going to have a 5in wheel on it but in the middle of constructing it I figured what the hell I can put my 8in contact wheel on it and save myself the trouble of changeing tooling arms all I have to do is rotate it and adjust the arm out a little and I'm hollow grinding or can go the other way and use the small wheel. The platen is angle iron that I flat ground down and it is removable for a slack belt area. Just ignore the blue marks that was originally how it was going to look but just didn't turn out that way.So tell me what you guys think.

Looking good ! On my HMG I too initially had the contact wheel mounted
full time, but changed it later to where I sub it out with a smaller roller for
when I do flat grind, to save on power & noise.

UGLY? No way I think she is purty and she throws sparks everywhere too.:D
what's even better is the aluminum I used to build it was scrounged up so this cost me nothing to build except for the fact that there is a three wheel skateboard out in the shed now wait till my kids find that:rolleyes:

Man , You gotta love that !! :) I wonder if thats what Rob F.'s first KMG looked like on the engineering table - I doubt it , but hey , whatever it takes to get the job done. How does she track ? And the skateboard wheel , now that just might work ;) . Nice work Kenvia

Looks pretty cool. It has actually given me some ideas. Thanks for sharing this!
