Flat ground enduras? Thank you!

Well . . . I've not been around bladeforums much lately (too busy).

But . . . I need to think the people at Spyderco who are responsible for the Enduras with the flat ground blades. It was something I've been wanting for a long, long time and now . . . woo-hoo!

The Endura was a really good knife that evolved into something even better over time. With a flat grind, it is now officially a great knife in my book. It slices so much better . . . anyone who doesn't believe just has to cut and peel an apple with a regular Endura and then an Endura with a flat grind to feel the difference.

THANK YOU!

I still like the saber ground Enduras and Delicas, but I agree that the FFG Endura is an amazing knife.

What would be the difference in use between a saber ground and the ffg. I want an endura but have been trying to decide whether to get the regular saber ground or ffg. Id mainly just be using it for edc and everyday tasks like box opening food prep ocassionaly.

I just bought a G10 one last week. And man what a slicer that baby is!
Agreed they are pure VG 10 awesomeness!

Andrew nailed it. The FFG is a better slicer but the saber ground blade is a little stronger. For food prep I'd say the ffg is better. For other general edc chores I'd probably prefer the saber grind but I have several ffg Spyderco knives, (Caly 3, Stretch, Endura, Sage 1 & 2) and use them for all edc jobs and have never had any problem.

I think the ffg Spydies are plenty strong and unless you were using them as a pry bar you wouldn't have any problems.
