Flat "Hinderer style" screws for the 0560?

Was looking at a comparison picture of the 0560 next to an xm18 and I really think the 0560 would look killer with some stainless steel hardware with flat heads on them like the XM. Same with the pivot screw. Do you think it could be done?

Here's the picture that spawned this question

I like the look of the stainless screws. If ZT is using a standard American thread it might be possible to find some at a machine / industrial supply.

I don't know... as a so-called 'ZT fanboy', and don't you just love that sophomoric moniker, that would detract from the 0560/0561's 'ZT-ness'. We might be accused of Hinderer-envy. The assembly flat heads look neat - the flathead slotted pivot screw, well, not so much. Just my opinion. BTW, I really like it as-is - now - post dehorning the jimping edges with an ultra-fine nailboard (Thank you wifey! She's going to expect my nails to look better... oops!). That took five minutes!

I kind of like it, but kind of don't. The scales are so different that I think the round heads look right on the ZT056x. I'd love to see someone attempt it, but I don't think I would do it myself. Next, we'll see someone putting a choil on the blade. :D

I need to try the nailfile thing on my ZT0560. It has rough edges on all the jimping on the titanium stuff. I guess it's laser cut? Almost like it leaves a little lip on the edges of the jimping. Not sure what to call it, but it is sharp. I can deal with it, but it'd be cool just to knock that little excess off.

Remember that the 056x series has a 3D shaped scales, while the Hinderer XM's are flat... I don't think they'll work as well as you might hope.

Are the XM screws counter sunk? You could modify your screw holes and use these. Kershaw could probably tell you what size and pitch the threads are. They should be American threads also. They look to be about 6-40 on my 0550. Just under 1/8".

#6-32 actually and 3/16 long. I replaced the ones on my 551. I just checked the ones I have against the 0560 and they're the same.100_1311.jpg
