Flat (really flat) Water Bottles

I saw these a while back and they're cool but I'm thinking they may be a bit of a PITA to clean.

That was my first thought also. Seems like the Platypus is just a better overall design

Platypus IS a better design for a pack. It's not gonna work as well in a briefcase, though. The Platypus is just gonna be an unwieldy bag of water. Also, I'd never carry a Platypus up against a laptop or iPad. For that I want something tougher.

Fair enough that being said I wouldn't carry water in any kind of container with electronic gear.

No flat hipster water container is gonna replace my stainless steel Klean Kanteen bottles any day soon ;) :D

i stayed at a swanky hotel in san diego, ca a few weeks ago and they had these bottled waters in the mini-fridge. i don't normally purchase from the minibar but this water bottle was tempting enough to try out.

it's a pretty good bottle and fits nicely in my daybag for work. incidentally, i had also funded the aforementioned kickstarter and am looking forward to it arriving in the coming few weeks.

With the welcomed above post, the thread has drifted just a bit. As such, I will mention that when I leave the house, I'm usually carrying a 6 or 8 oz. oval PET bottle (with water) from U.S. Plastics. They're very inexpensive and fit almost anywhere. Either of the two sizes mentioned will hide in a front pants pocket. Multiple bottles can be distributed between pockets for easy and inconspicuous carry if 8 oz. can't get you between water fountains. I've tried all the sizes from 4 oz. up to 16. They all have their place but the 6 and 8 hit the sweet spot for me. Note: The caps must be ordered separately. They're only a few cents each.)

The Nalgene flask is also flat-ish and carries 12 oz. I thinks it's $8-9. A bit big for front pocket carry, but good for a coat pocket.
