I hate the round ones that comes with hiking boots. Does anyone know where you could get flat ones? They are hard to find in my area. I can't keep the round ones tied.
do you have paracord or some sort of cord like that ? if so then pull the strands out and fuse the webbing used tokeep the strands together and use the strands fo somthing else and now you have custom sholaces
I particularly like the "Secure Shoelace Knot", I've been using it for quite a while in my boots, it holds when you want it to hold, yet unties easy when you want to untie it (as any good knot should do), see it here:
Most hiking gear stores, or running stores will have the soft oval ones with the piping that runs down each side. They are the best I have used. Most higher end hiking boots come with them nowadays. If you really want flat laces, any sporting goods store will have them in the ice skate section, or with the rollerblades.
This may be them... http://shoelacesonly.com/shoelaces/regular-shoelaces/oval-dual-tone-laces/
