are there any flatground VG-10 folders out there? Or at least very shallow hollow ground? The only one I know is the spyderco chinese folder.... I was mainly looking for knives in the lower priced section...

I'm fairly sure that the Spyderco Calypso jr.
with the FRN handle is a flat ground blade in VG-10. I'm not sure what they are going for, but I am sure it is less than the Lum.

A Pat on the Back is only a few inches from a Kick in the Butt.

You are correct. The Calypso Jr. Lightweight is flat-ground VG-10. And about half the cost of the Lum. Probably the most knife for the money out there.

The discontinued full-size Calypso in Micarta also has a VG-10 blade, but the discontinued Calypso Jr. in micarta does not.

The Spyderco Lum Chinese folder is also flat ground VG-10. I dont have one (yet) but it's next on my list. I do carry a Calypso Jr. lightweight. It is my EDC. A great knife. Buy one!! Heck, buy two!! (send me the extra)
