Here's one that arrived today. Nothing as spectacular like all ya'lls axes I've been reading and seeing here on BF. Nonetheless, this one's still an axe!

Wow that's a beast of beauty alright. Looks like it can get some work done. What's the info on it? Who made it, bit width, etc? Thanks!!!

What makes you so sure that is doesn't measure up!? Quite a beauty, she is! I am rather intrigued by this.

So far this particular axe is the heaviest amongst the other axes I have.

This Flathead Axe is from Fire Axe Inc. and here's their specifications:

Material: High grade tool steel, heat treated (mirror polished surface not chrome plated)
Rockwell Hardness: HRC: 50-58 (claim "cut through 16 penny nails")
Axe Head Weight: 6 lbs.
Handle Guard: Patented feature extends 1-1/2" below head
Handle: High grade Tennesse Hickory (second growth) with four (4) wedges

They have an eight (8) pound axe head also.
 
Wow! What a massive poll!

I read the review. I like the hardened poll and the halligan groove.

Great pics and a great axe there! Im always wanted the firemans axe that has the lock busting prong on the other end, that really is a nice pice of gear, so is that Arvika too!
