Flattened Ball Detent

So I just got a blem jyd2 ti from Kershawguy, the knife is awesome. When I took it apart to clean the factory lube and re-lube it I noticed the ball detent on the frame lock is flat and has grooves in it like it was hit by a grinder or something. Ill try to get a pic later today.

Anyway is this normal for this model?! At the moment it doesn't feel like it drags to much on the blade when opening or closing. I'll probably end up replacing the ball detent sometime in the future however. I'm assuming it would be 1/16 in?

Mine did the same thing thing about 6 months after I bought it. I just polished the race on the blade, and it smoothed it out.
