Flattening Edge Pro Stones

You don't need the special Edge Pro Round Glass kit. You could buy the 1/2lb bag of Silicon Carbide

-or-

Simply use abrasives over something flat, which means Sandpaper would work. Make sure you buy Silicon Carbide infused Sand paper

Yes, it will work very well. So will flattening on a 'decorative' (so it's a bit smoother than the building type,) cinder block or a smooth cement block from a DIY shop.

Stitchawl

Thanks yes, I think I'll try these. Any suggestions as to grit size?

Use any grit below the Stone's rating. I know it's not the same, but generally the rougher the better, this will make your stone as rough as the sand paper so you may want to progress to higher grits to match the stone

Best of luck
