Flaw or design?

I got a 152 cheap the other day. Clampack, $16, good feel, but there's something weird.

The grind seems... off. Using the little bump on the spine as a marker point, the blade doesn't seem quite finish ground. The bevels go back all the way, but they come nowhere close to meeting. In the area closest to the stamp, this is full-thickness, no narrowing at all and certainly no edge. Is this a design feature of the 152, or a grind flaw?

I might have this one convexed as a dedicated small kitchen knife, but I would like to know if this were normal.
