Flea market find - a mystery to me

My best guess:

Kutmaster
Utica NY
U.S.A.
Agree. Kutmaster is a sub-brand of Utica Cutlery.

It looks like a Utica/Kutmaster from the pin layout, and jugging.
Utica is still a going concern. (one of the few US cutlers left.)

You can send their customer service photos of your knife to verify it is one of theirs, and if so, the date range it was made, and the model number.
Blades are most likely 1095, (I don't recall them using one of the other 10xx steels) and look pretty daNg full. 👍

I'd touch up the edges (10° to 12° per side is probably the factory edge angle, given the likely age of the knife) and drop her in the pocket.

Fantastic find and score! Congrats! 😁👍

Well, it's sharp now. A little mineral oil didn't hurt the action any - decent walk and talk. Does anyone know for sure what the scales are made of? Doesn't matter, for eight bucks it has a home where knives live a life of sharp well lubricated luxury.

Hard to say from the photo.
My guess is ither bovine bone or Delrin.
Hoever, Black Celluloid is also a possibility.
If it is the latter I don't see any indications it has started outgassing.
Covers are not shrunk or twisted/curled, and no telltale corrosion on the blades, bolsters, and pins. 😁👍
