Found this old razor strop down in the bottom of a box. One side is kind of rough, and the other side is pretty flat. I loaded it with a bit of compound, and I'm getting much better results from my stropping.

It has a concave piece of wood to allow for flex for convex edges. The handle has a screw to adjust the belt tension.

paid 4 bucks. What do you guys think?

I have a very similar stretch-strop somewhere in my storage shed. Similar, except mine has no wood - just a threaded bolt for tension adjustment.

I don't use mine. I prefer a more solid base and more solid support of the strop material.

Clever idea, though.

Yeah i usually put it down on a table and just hold the handle for support.

For years I was using an old leather belt. I'd sit down with it, loop the end around my right foot, pull it taut with my left hand, and strop downward like that. Did that for years. This strop is a different method and gets used frequently, but i still do it my old way too :p
