I was at a local flea market this morning and found a nice knife in a box of other stuff. Paid 10 bucks for it - turns out to
be a Wood/Irie MK 2 Classic. Has a serial number 248 and what looks like an M under the blade. Now, from what I've seen
here and online, this appears to be worth a lot more than what I paid for it. It's in great shape, and I'll probably be putting
it in my display cabinet. This is also probably the most valuable knife I've ever owned - do I dare sharpen it?

Dandy $10 found knife...................

Sharpen it and use it. You'll be happy and it will NEVER close on your fingers.

They aren't nearly as collectable as they once were. You're talking $200 give or take, so why not revel in your "FIND" and enjoy a good knife.

Awesome find, great knife! If you have other user knives, I'd just clean it up, give it a good sharpening and relegate it to desk duty just to admire and fondle. Too valuable and too cool a knife to lose.

where do you live at?? I use to dell at the flemarkets and that never happens here in florida. every one looks at the knife used or new.

Don't sharpen it if you think you will ever sell it. Quite often the things people do to items that they think will increase their value will actually decrease their value, even simple things like sharpening.

Just noticed that I can't post attachments...so can't do pics. I got it in New Milford, Ct. The vendor was a guy who cleans out houses - obviously found it in a drawer with some other knives. I was drawn to it because it looked really well made and I couldn't figure out how to open it. Most of the other guys that I buy knives from know what they have and price accordingly. This was a real lucky find!!
